I am 33 years old. Millennial. A woman living with my long-time partner in a sleepy town in upstate New York. I call her my wife even though we haven’t technically gotten married yet. We have two cats. No kids. Never kids.
Once upon a time I wore a lot of hats for a little non-profit organization. Web designer, web manager, graphic designer, typesetter. It’s been a while. Now I’m freelance. Freelance… everything.
Short stories on Amazon. T-shirt designs on redbubble. Webcomics. Cover design. You name it. I’m looking to write another novel.
Back in the livejournal era, when I was a teenager, I used to keep a blog about whatever happened to be on my mind at the time. I miss that. Writing about my day to day experiences with an audience in mind. Even if an audience never shows up.
Things I might write about here: video games and shows, restaurant I’ve eaten at, recipes I’m trying, being queer, fat posititive, being married, having cats, horror movies, horror as a concept, making webcomics, writing, being an illustrator (not an artist), ARGs, Internet 1.0, unsolved mysteries, childhood abuse, mental illness, politics, kink, music, home repair, kids these days, etc etc.
You can call me Mab. These are the tales from my Rookery.
